On 2/17/09 you will be writing an NPR 'This I Believe' style essay. This essay will serve as an icebreaker assignment for the student interview assignment that will take place in class on 2/23-27/09.

With a proper internet connection you should be able to listen to a few of the stories. You may also want to try to go to iTunes and find the 'This I Believe' podcasts that are free and available.

I went to the website on the above link and read a couple of essays, but I did not quite understand if they were supposed to follow a certain style or them or something like that. However, the assignment seems interesting.

I thought this was very interesting...Edward R. Murrow originally started the program on CBS in the early '50s. Very cool that NPR decided to run the program in the 2000s.
This should be a very interesting assignment!
