There is credibility in Wayne Lapierre’s statement because he is the Executive Vice-President and CEO of the National Rifle Association therefore his statement is credible because he is known as an expert in the matter. Guns and weapons let people know that if talking doesn’t work to resolve a serious problem then the people always have an alternative especially if someone’s life is at stake and people are being threatened.
Policemen are required to carry guns and other weapons on their person at all time while they are on duty because it reassures them that if someone else pulls a gun on them that they can play the same game and defend themselves. This statement can be applied in all areas of society because no matter where one goes you will always have a chance of something happening and if something does you’ll be glad that there are weapons there to protect the people. Politics are involved in this statement because it can be related to the second amendment.
Wayne LaPierre, the Executive Vice-President and CEO of the National Rifle Association has credibility but not necessarily in the stating that 'an armed society is a safe and peaceful society.' The Constitution and the second Amendment has utmost credibility in this matter. The right to bear arms is a right, guaranteed by the Constitution but it is not a guarantee that a society will become safer or more peaceful and to address the argument that if it can apply to all areas of society, the individual is the one who makes wrongful decisions not the weapon. Lastly, politics are involved in a case like this because it includes a right which the government is questioning on its necessity in society, with the exception of law enforcement official.

Wanye LaPierre is biased in his statement that 'an armed society is a safe and peaceful society.' He is the president of the National Rifle Association which are advocates for people to own guns. His comment has to be taken with a grain of salt. As to the validity of his statement, guns make society safer if put into the right hands. All the right people should own guns for all the right reasons (i.e. self defense). Other than that guns should not even be out there. Also, if a person has a gun they should be prepared to kill the person, otherwise they should not even have a gun. That is the purpose of a gun and if you pull a gun on someone it should be for the sole purpose of shooting and killing the person. If people thought that way, less people would have guns, because most people are not prepared to kill somebody. LaPierre is partially correct in his statement, but not everyone should own a gun. It would be safer if less people owned guns, or if less people owned guns illegally.

A better handle on gun-control is what promotes a safe and peaceful society. There have been too many instances of senseless killings because the sellers of firearms are not too concerned with anything more than their customers being of age and not having a felony on their record. Mentally unstable handlers should not be permitted to “bear arms.” The 2nd Amendment applied to protection of property and, if necessary, using a firearm to protect what is yours. The only times when guns make society safe are when they are used in self-defense. LaPierre’s statement is useful in this situation only.
Guns allow our society to remain safe. All Americans should have the right to bear arms, because they can protect themselves if they need to. Wanye LaPierre’s statement is credible because he is a high authority in the National Rifle Association. This statement may not have had such an important value if a bystander had expressed it. This statement can be used in all areas of society, because in all areas of society, people want (and need) to protect themselves. Politics is applicable because politicians are the ones who wrote the amendments when our nation was edifying its new government.

While the views of Wanye LaPierre, Executive Vice-President and CEO of the National Rifle Association, are biased because of his position, he has some valid points. Americans should be able to exercise their second amendment rights, but with the understanding that guns play a different role in modern society than they did in colonial America. Modern guns are much more dangerous than those of the late 1700’s, making government regulation necessary. Guns may not contribute to a safer society as LaPierre suggested, because who have intentions of harming others should not be able to acquire such lethal weapons.
Wayne LaPierre, the Executive Vice-President and CEO of the National Rifle Association has credibility because he is well known as being an expert. A good control of gun privlages will promote a better and safer society. Guns protect people from other guns, whether you keep it for the right purposes or not. They should restrict the amount of peopole who can own guns in one society.

There is credibility to Wayne LaPierre's statement because it is in agreement with the 2nd Amendment, BUT his opinion is biased since he is the Executive Vice-President and CEO of the National Rifle Association. Those who carry guns have a sense of security because they are well protected. Guns do not actually make a society safer and more peaceful. Many gun-related deaths were not the results of self-defense. There are some people in the world who possess guns and have bad intentions. Guns are dangerous weapons, but politics suggest that people have a right to bear arms, as stated in the 2nd Amendment.

The relevance and significance of the second amendment has begun to slowly wane in recent years, as many citizens find themselves in the care of local law enforcement. Wayne LaPierre is clearly biased as he is the Executive Vice-President and CEO of the National Rifle Association, therefore his statement is most likely done in the interest of his affiliation rather than any political avocation.
Guns are not necessarily beneficial to one’s safety, as unstable people would also have to be given a right to carry them. While some regions would have more gain by carrying guns (Rural versus urban areas) we are assured to great degree of safety from our law enforcement and judicial system.
Wayne LaPierre's comment is completley ironic and almost humorous. To believe that if everyone owned a gun society would be safer is completley heinous. With acsess to guns, society loses its sense of well being and peacful exisitence. So many countless deaths could have been prevented if there was no gun acsessible. This right to bare arms is strictly constitutional making it political and of coarse controversial. With the elimination of guns, the world would be a safer place. Of coarse, the black market would have to be considered, but just by eliminating the mass production of weapons, death rates will drop as having a weapon becomes less acheivable.

There is credibility in Wayne LaPierre’s statement because he is the CEO of the National Rifle Associate, and hence would have experiences in how society and fire arms provide safety and security. Guns create a more peaceful society by creating the feeling of safety and security. When armed with a gun, a person feels that they can have more control over circumstances that could arise. Also, when armed, they do not feel the need to use other forms of threats or defense to feel safe, hence less verbal attacks to keep others in line. I do not believe all societies would follow LaPierre’s idea, however, because in certain places, such as how in Libya, people are protesting and want to get rid of their ruler. If all people there had guns, they would have most likely attempted to assassinated their ruler or opposing protesters, or even the military that was sent out to make sure it didn’t get violent. Politics are involved by the fact that they are threatened by society if they disagree, and also politics are in charge of the order of society and creating the laws that state whether or not society should be able to use weapons.
