TONIGHT'S ASSIGNMENTS*

 I. Organize your notebook. SEE NOTEBOOK STRUCTURE CHART (on blog). AS INDICATED IN CLASS THIS SHOULD BE PRIORITY #1! 

II. Obtain ONE recent news article. This article must be recent (i.e. no older than 3 days). It must be clipped...PLEASE DO THIS BEFORE CLASS; ARTICLES NOT LABELED OR POSTED NEATLY WILL RECEIVE A -2 PENALTY. NO OPINION PIECES OR MAGAZINE ARTICLES.

III. Familiarize yourself with this week's current events; a GRADED Current Events Quiz (CEQ) will be administered SOON. Use the blog site as a central hub for news and information!  CEQ #28 is THIS WEEK (3/21/13) PLEASE REVIEW!

IV. PLEASE review your Chapter 4 and 5 notes (terms and concepts); your Quarter Exam (originally scheduled for 3/18 and 3/19) will be after Spring Break on 4/3/13.

V. Continue conducting research on your Times Tracks Interview subject; find credible sources...evaluate its strength, its reliability, and its credibility. 

THEN, edit and type your Pre-Interview Report and prepare to submit it to me; use the typing standards and format (see half sheet distributed on 3/15/13 in class).

 I. Review Chapter 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6  topics/concepts. Read the outline, supplemental notes, and create study note cards. LEARN THE MATERIAL...DON'T MEMORIZE IT.*

II. Study chapter vocabulary. In addition, students should prepare to work on additional in-class vocabulary assignments by reviewing words nightly. For test/quiz dates see calendar in class or upcoming dates post. To prepare for the in-class study and tests/quizzes, students are encouraged to create 3x5 study cards. STANDARD [JV1]

III. Bring Materials/Supplies to class; this includes textbooks, steno pads, paper, pens, notebooks, writing journals, etc. (NO EXCEPTIONS)
