II. Check www.scpjournalism1.blogspot.com daily for teacher posted AP news stories. DUE DAILY
III. Review ALL skills concepts (e.g. recognition of elements of news, use of news judgment to evaluate stories, the process of brainstorming), as well as Chapter 4 concepts (e.g. types of sources and the Devil’s Advocate organizational structure). Prepare for informal skills and knowledge assessments.
IV. Consult the Times Tracks Interview Project list and write down your assigned interview subject. You can also copy down the name of the source (i.e. the person who recommended the person). Begin looking up information about your subject. In digging for information try answering these questions: (a) what is the person most famous for? (b) when (in the person’s life) would my interview take place? (c) what is the reason for my interview with this person? Type your responses to these questions in a pre-interview report.
