I. Obtain one (1) recent news article. This article must be recent (i.e. no older than 3 days). It must be clipped...PLEASE DO THIS BEFORE CLASS; UNCLIPPED ARTICLES WILL RECEIVE -2 PENALTY.

2. ARTICLE BEAT ASSIGNMENTS (for Week 24): as discussed in class
3. ARTICLE NEWS ELEMENT: FREE CHOICE
4. DATE RANGE: 5/22 to 5/26 (i.e. Recent articles ONLY!!!)

II. Familiarize yourself with this week's current events...use this site as a central hub for news and information!

III. Organize your notebook. SEE NOTEBOOK STRUCTURE CHART (on blog). AS INDICATED IN CLASS (SINCE AUGUST 2008) THIS SHOULD BE PRIORITY #1!

IV. Read and Outline Chapter 13 (Writing the Editorial Story). Use the standards and specifications indicated on past outline assignments. Pull the chapter objectives from the text book. I will add additional objectives later.
