1. Read the “History of Newspapers” By Mitchell Stephens; complete a three-column notes chart for the entire article. Find key points in the article and write about your reaction to the key points. Make connections between the key points and your experience. DUE 9/2 (50 points)

2. Complete the Discussion Board Assignment #1 (Reflection Response #1: Qualities of Journalists). This will be completed on the Schoology discussion board…NOT on the main update page.

2. Study chapter vocabulary. In addition, students should prepare to work on additional in-class vocabulary assignments by reviewing words nightly.
