6. Complete the Extra Credit Report. Answer the following questions in detailed responses with evidence pulled from the event and your personal experience:

What was your overall impression of the subject and the event?

In what way did the event relate to concepts taught in Journalism 1?

What specific Journalism concepts were observed in the event?

What was the main theme of the event?

1. Obtain TWO recent news articles. These articles must be recent (i.e. no older than 3 days). It must be clipped...PLEASE DO THIS BEFORE CLASS; ARTICLES NOT LABELED OR POSTED NEATLY IN THE JOURNAL WILL RECEIVE A -5 PENALTY. NO OPINION PIECES OR MAGAZINE ARTICLES.

2. The Chapter 5 discussion concludes next class meeting. Please review the chapter. You will be expected to know information introduced in the chapter and in our unit lesson discussions. PLEASE BE PREPARED. 


3. Check Schoology periodically and read, watch, or hear supplemental related material. Feel free to share your own links. Try to find supplemental material that will expand our study of Chapter 5 concepts (e.g., Interviewing)


4. Think about possible interview subjects for the Major Interview Project. We will discuss possible subjects in a brainstorming session.


5. Continue gathering research for your Time Tracks subject. You should be working on your annotated bibliography. KEEP GATHERING RESEARCH. You may begin working on your pre-interview plan. Do not wait until the last minute.


6. Type, edit, and expand your "This I Believe" essay that was written in class today. Review the format guide sheet and meet the deadlines. Go to the Discussion Board Assignment and begin reading all of the published essays. Engage in Q&A with students. DUE 3/4/15
